THIS CHECK LIST CONTAINS THE SIMPLE STEPS TO CREATE A HEALTHY AND HAPPY LIFE. And, I'm living proof.
In my late teens and early twenties, I was a complete emotional mess. Medicated on all sorts of anti-depressants to the point of numbness (most people look back fondly on college... all I remember was sleeping a lot and not having a purpose, barely making it to classes), drinking socially to keep up with what my peers were doing (while on said meds), not exercising (after spending 15 years in the dance studio, I stopped moving cold turkey... having zero motivation to do anything was a side effect from the pharmaceuticals), 205 pounds (fried everything in the south, no exercise, plus I found solace in food). Honestly, the doctors I saw didn't know sh*t about how to take care of me. "Up this medication, try this one, blah blah big pharma pushing pills bullsh*t" I knew I needed to change and take the control back and take care of myself. So I stopped the meds and headed to LA, which ended up being one of the best choices I've ever made in my life.
Cut to over ten years later, I'm thriving in Los Angeles with self-love and self-care always being a priority. When you take care of yourself, when you love yourself, your energy and outlook on life changes. I am so happy/grateful/blessed/proud of myself for all of the work I did. If I can do it, anyone can do it. Just make the choice to do so. Make the choice to take care of yourself like you'd take care of someone you loved. Love yourself.
